GROUP NORMS & COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS
Group Agreements
Confidentiality is the foundation of this group. Without it, trust and safety cannot exist. What is said here stays here.
To keep this space welcoming, safe, and grounded in mutual respect, we ask everyone to uphold the following agreements. These are not rules for the sake of rules. They are a shared commitment to how we care for one another and ourselves.
Privacy and Confidentiality
What is said in this group stays in this group.
-
Do not repeat, copy, or share anyone’s words or experiences outside this space. Breaking confidentiality will not be tolerated.
-
Participation is always voluntary. Silence is welcome.
Respect personal boundaries.
-
No one is obliged to reply to private messages.
-
Speak From Your Own Experience
-
Share your truth without prescribing what is right for others.Avoid advice giving, fixing, or judging.
-
Focus on your own story rather than someone else’s choices.
-
Words Matter
Language can build trust or harm it. Choose your words with care.
-
Be mindful of tone, assumptions, and labels.
-
We are here to support, not correct, criticise, or control.
Respect Differences
-
We will not always connect with everyone, and that is okay.
-
Kindness and respect are not optional.
-
No blaming or shaming.
-
Each of us is responsible for our own choices.
When Something Feels Off
-
If something does not sit well with you, contact the leadership team privately (info@thesoscollective.com).
-
Everyone deserves a chance to reflect and self-correct.
-
Feedback is given with care, not punishment.
Consequences for Violations
To protect the safety and dignity of all members:
-
First, a private and respectful reminder of expectations will be given.
-
Continued behaviour may result in being asked to step away, either temporarily or permanently.
-
In serious cases, including harassment, targeted comments, or breaches of confidentiality, immediate removal may be necessary.
We Are All Learning
This is a practice space for honesty, humility, and compassion. We all make mistakes. What matters is accountability and growth.
With love from the whole sober team,
Lisa, Linda, Lynn, Beth, Prudence & Katelyn
